Carrier sales (negociador de transporte) position description: as a carrier sales representative, you will play a crucial role at redwood multimodal by identifying, sourcing and developing strong business relationships with service providers to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.
responsibilities: provide and negotiate freight rates to motor carriers (and internal sales team as needed), ensuring maximum profitability on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly basiscoordinate available customer freight with available motor carrier equipmentconsistently provide service and support to motor carriers in an effort to build the business relationshipmaintain a file of all open truck shipments and of records of trailers in assigned areascommunicate with motor carriers to schedule trucks and resolve issuesverify all freight charges, confirm receipt of bill of lading, and resolve all payables discrepancies prior to final payment to motor carriermonitor bill of lading discrepancies to ensure proper return of commodity is arranged, as necessaryperform other related duties as assigned qualifications: bi-lingual in english and spanishstrong communication skills both orally and writtenability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentpro-active problem solver and listener; ability to multi-task1-2 years of business experience in a bi-lingual environmentlogistics expierence preferred, but not requiredrewards: in addition, when you are contracted you will receive:
