* n*tipo de posición* management*job summary*the manager, consumer pr, cala, is a key member of the cala comms & pr team supporting the execution of marriott international's overarching consumer pr strategy across key media markets in cala.
with a strong focus on brand and loyalty, the role plays and important part in securing press coverage for our portfolio of 22 brands and marriott bonvoy to drive top line revenue, consumer action and brand distinction.
support brand management of city express brand in region.
the manager, consumer pr, cala liaises closely with the global consumer and loyalty pr teams, as well as the cala brand marketing and loyalty teams and the cala pr coe.
key responsibilities include writing and reviewing a wide range of pr materials, including press releases, messaging briefs, and newsletters, as well as managing brand appropriate media and influencer relations, and pr event coordination.
the position reports to the vice president, comms & pr, cala and is based in mexico.
*candidate profile*education and experience*- 4-year university degree from an accredited university in public relations, communications or journalism required- 6+ years of communications, media relations and/or related field experience required; pr agency or campaign communications experience preferred; travel or hospitality experience a plus- excellent english and spanish language and written skills required.
writing and proofreading is a key part of this role.- knowledge of brand public relations with experience in agency management, media relations, press writing, events and speech writing.- understanding of influencer pr, both paid and earned.- strong execution skills and organizational capabilities.- strategic and creative thinker with the ability to take the lead and drive campaigns; ability to identify andexecute new ideas.- process oriented, well-organized, and capable of working quickly and simultaneously handling several projects; agility to adjust priorities and ability to balance interests of multiple stakeholders.- a team player who works well with others and contributed to the team's success
