We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
*manager - credit risk review*
*role purpose*:
lead credit review activities by conducting offsite credit reviews of individual sites in hbus. Wcru is a dedicated second line of defense function in providing an independent and rigorous assessment of wholesale credit risk on a continuous basis. This ongoing assessment/review by the wcru team shall determine whether commercial credit risk is being identified, managed and reported within established guidelines.
*main activities*:
- primarily responsible for performing reviews to assess the design and operation of internal controls related to the management of credit risk for assigned projects/processes and to ensure appropriate governance and oversight, to assess entire credit cycle risk strategies, policies, systems and risk team capabilities in wholesale credit risk.
- participate in assignments of varying complexity. Act as officer in charge (oic) for reviews of low to moderate complexity.
- ability to write clear, concise reports as well as internal and external communication.
- knowledge of credit risk processes, analytics and risk management practices
requirements
- bachelor´s degree in business administration, finance or a related field.
- mba, mf or similar, and/or professional credentials such as cfa or cia would be highly valued.
- 100% fluency in english (verbal and written).
- advanced excel and database management would be a plus.
- a minimum of three years of working experience in credit risk related fields (e.g. credit risk review, credit cycle management, relationship management and lending experience, including counterparty risk or equivalent).
- solid knowledge/significant experience in wholesale credit risk.
- knowledge of structured transactions (such as project finance, debt/equity issuances, m&a, etc), and derivatives would be a plus.
- strong economic and business analytic capabilities, including the ability to read and understand financial statements
