job summary:
support operational finance in areas of cft, capex, fa; work with cross-functional areas to understand performance and trends which impact leadership decisions. This position requires solid knowledge of financial systems and processes, manufacturing, and month-end closing activities. The jr project controller position performs monthly activities related to cft, capex, and fa control, conducting variance analysis on actual vs budget & forecast to explain in its areas.
principal responsibilities:
* organizes meetings with pmos for status in all the information required.
* prepares monthly reconciliations of internal accounts.
* prepares at month end, quarter and year end, worksheets and je’s for the financial closing process.
* prepares at quarter and year end, worksheets to analyze and support forecast and budget process regarding cip, cft, and capex.
* coordinates capex process for budget.
* prepares monthly, quarterly, and yearly explanations for mfr variances related to accounts assigned.
* prepares at month end, quarter and year end, sox controls and internal/external audit requirements.
* signs approval formats for fa disposals or movements in plant.
* assigns and disables numbers of subledgers for control in jde regarding cip and cft projects.
education:
* bachelor’s degree in finance and/or accounting.
experience:
* 5+ years’ experience in financial analysis, processes, and strong accounting experience.
knowledge:
* solid business process understanding.
* manufacturing sector experience.
functional competencies:
* change process initiative/continuous improvement.
* analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
* strong communications skills across departmental areas.
* strong experience of fa, capex, cft related processes.
* 2+ years’ experience with jde module (preferred).
* general understanding of basic us gaap is required.
