Job responsibilities
1. ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and government regulations
2. coordinate with project team members through the execution of capital projects with the objective of meeting the project success criteria
3. provide clear communication and direction to project team members and updates to project stakeholders
4. provide guidance with the development of specifications, capital equipment, and the selection of vendors and contractors
5. provide technical advice and assistance as required to sustain production capacity and capabilities
6. assist in cross-training efforts to help develop partner's skills in other functional areas of engineering
7. work with cross functional teams to develop business propositions and executive summaries which enhance company growth and profitability
8. investigate, evaluate, and implement new or improved technology/methods that may improve capability, capacity, and overall profitability
9. assist the plant leadership team with requests as required (upper management meetings, personnel, technical reviews, lead engineering sessions, advisory help, customer visits, etc.)
10. together with the leadership team, ensure compliance with food safety and food quality plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interpret and communicate customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establish and audit pcps, ccps, and standard operating procedures to define and monitor processes to ensure requirements are met. Review incidents during which the procedures are not met and determine appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
11. read and interpret electric, construction, and utility design documents
12. knowledge and design of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic processes within a production environment.
minimum qualifications
1. bachelor's degree in civil engineering or architecture
2. experience in coordinating projects and project management tools
3. ability to function in a team environment
4. industrial experience in civil engineering preferred
5. knowledge of autocad 2d and 3d
6. desire to grow and take on new challenges and opportunities
