positionreports to: product engineering manager location: primarilyguadalajara, jalisco, mexico in assigned local partner contractmanufacturer sites when required, or any other locations asassigned or instructed by the company.
responsibilities willinclude, but not be limited to the following: - drive manufacturingbuild and test at the rack and system level.
- create new productbuild/assemble/test procedures and processes and implement them.
-evaluate design validation testing (ensure rtm deliverables).
-participate with system validation testing at cadence and with ourcontract manufacturers.
- drive completion of all procedures andprocess documents for assembling and testing of next generationcadence products at the designated contract manufacturers.
-support dfm and the resolution of all manufacturing-oriented designissues.
- work with system manufacturing test engineer to producemanufacturing level tests.
- drive correlation between system testand test cells from the system end.
manage the following: -prototype and pre-production builds and test at cm's includingensuring correct technical content.
- early manufacturingissues/problems at contract manufacturers - drive closure on allthe deliverables required for release to manufacturing.
- developand manage the development of scalable and automated assembly andtest processes, test fixtures, and any other processes or equipmentthat needs to be implemented for the efficient production andtesting of products and to ensure the highest levels of quality canbe achieved and maintained.
minimum requirements - bs or equivalentdegree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering with aminimum of 4 years of experience or ms with a minimum of 2 years ofexperience or new phd graduate - experience with test celldevelopment and support.
- experience working with contractmanufacturers.
- capability to drive development of custom toolsfor field and manufacturing us.
- experience on system levelproducts from prototype through manufacturing release.
- experiencewith complex, multi-level boms.
- excellent verbal and writtencommunications skills.
- independent, diligent, creative, focusedorganized, ability to work within a start-up team on multipleprojects concurrently.
- solid understanding of manufacturingprocesses, test flows and new product introduction is desirable.
-computer skills to include ms word, excel, access & genericelectronic and mechanical cad.
- able to read and work fromschematics and device data sheets.
highly desirableknowledge/experience: - previous experience with liquid cooledcomputer systems.
- previous experience with high density opticaland network test processes including infiniband and roce2.
-previous experience with high density press-fit backplanes.
-experience with cadence spb tools (allegro, orcad) - previousexperience with high density optical manufacturing processesincluding installing, cleaning, repairing, and testing.
-understanding of electrical power distribution (single phase, 3phase).
- hands on experience working with piping/hoses.
-experience with plm tools like arena or agile.
- comfortable withlinux environment: admin level tools, and software developmenttools, scripts.
