manage the apqp (advanced product quality planning) of the purchased parts bop (bought out parts) during the development phase of the new programs. Track supplier performance (time, quality, delivery, and service). The asq complements the role of the software buyer as part of the extended core team.
the programs under development are highly complex, which involves managing bops at multiple forvia faurecia plants, multiple production starts, as well as suppliers located around the world in different countries and continents.
ensure robust application of the apqp process and risk management during the program development phase.
the main tasks of an asq are:
* implement apqp in the development phase of bop purchased parts.
* define the risks and suppliers to follow.
* ensure that nominated suppliers respect mandatory standards and auditing criteria.
* obtain approval from the tfc (team feasibility commitment) to ensure feasibility for parts supply and change implementation.
* recommend technical options to ensure product/process robustness during program development.
* define the apqp plan of suppliers with objectives, risk assessment, critical suppliers, critical parts, key milestones, deliverables, r@r planning and ppap, resources and support needs.
* update the apqp provider plan monthly.
* participate in the design review meeting and the ecr (engineering change) meeting.
* facilitate exchange/communication between core team functions and vendors for design freeze convergence.
* escalate alerts to the program (core team) and management. Support suppliers for the development and validation of 8d.
* train suppliers and ensure that defined standards (elements of the apqp) are properly applied.
* ensure that all key/special features (safety and regulations) during the program phase meet all the requirements of the design, forvia faurecia and client.
