job summary
the production shift leader, manages and implements operational strategies and objectives to achieve key operational goals in the short-term, mid-term, and long-term to accomplish customer requirements, ensuring food and people safety.
key responsibilities
• plan, manage, and monitor production activities within an assigned area to maximize the use of the organization’s resources and meet established production specifications and schedules; volume, efficiencies, and wastage targets, quality and food safety standards. • implement manufacturing schedules and procedures and allocate labor and resources to maximize productivity.
• analyze production, maintenance, and malfunction records to identify problems and solutions (for example changes to procedures, workflow, or equipment) that will improve performance.
• liaise with functional or operational area coordinators (for example quality, warehouse, planner, food safety) to understand their current product needs and develop plans, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities.
• plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance or downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules.
• lead, and evaluate various production activities such as machine operation, processing, treating, or packaging.
• drive performance against relevant department kpis. Act as a leader and trainer on safety, food safety, and quality matters. Ensure cross-developmental collaboration and represent the department.
qualifications
• bachelor's degree in engineering, food science or similar
• 2-3 years of experience in a production environment including food manufacturing methods, process improvement programs, and procedures.
• knowledgeable in ms office and sap
• english - intermediate level. (desirable)
