position overview
the primary purpose of the sap btp solution sales manager is to lead, drive, manage, coach, and develop a team of business technology platform (btp) solution sales executives dedicated to mexico, to consistently attain targeted revenue and profitability goals and set the vision and strategy for the sales team. The solution sales manager must develop specific territory plans to ensure growth in all revenue streams, formulate objectives, performance standards and priorities for the sales team and ensure that the selling models facilitate market penetration. The btp solution sales manager will report directly to the sales vice president btp americas.
what you’ll do/ key responsibilities
1. recruit a team of high caliber sales talent and introduce strong sales processes.
2. support the development of a full pipeline of sales prospects.
3. engage customers and partners at the executive level.
4. motivate the sales team, resolve conflicts, remove barriers, and provide recognition in the pursuit and achievement of sales revenue and profitability.
5. define a vision and create a winning strategy that draws upon the strengths of sap and responds to specific market needs.
6. develop and apply an in-depth understanding of sap's processes/ procedures and sales tools/systems.
7. demonstrate an outstanding execution track along sales cycles, ensuring sap's sales methodologies and common processes are in place.
8. monitor and take necessary measures to ensure adequate pipeline of opportunities and demand generation for sustainable growth.
9. utilize a disciplined approach for successful solution selling, establish and maintain accurate sales revenue forecasting procedures.
10. ensure there is a proper business case with clear and attractive roi impact on each proposal sap presents.
11. build a network of executive relationships across industry, community, and business groups.
12. stay current and informed on all new campaigns, understand their objectives and relevance, communicate to the sales team.
13. work collaboratively with other internal teams within sap.
what you bring/ qualifications
1. experience leading/managing in a team selling environment.
2. 10+ years of experience in sales of complex technology/cloud solutions.
3. proven track record in business application software sales.
4. demonstrated success with complex, long-cycle sales campaigns.
5. demonstrate success negotiating complex contracts.
6. demonstrate great leadership soft skills, especially collaboration, ownership, ethics, team building, resilience and integrity.
7. demonstrated knowledge on consultative selling methodologies.
8. proven abilities on managing highly complex organizations.
9. bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or a related field.
10. english proficiency.
preferred:
1. understanding of sap technologies including sap integration suite, sap build, and sap business ai.
2. proficient in cloud platforms (aws, azure, google cloud).
3. experience in enterprise solution sales management in mexican market.
4. extensive industry network for business development.
5. knowledge of sap partner ecosystem.
6. ability to articulate clean core, enterprise automation and business ai value propositions.
7. familiarity with the sap business suite (erp) and sap line of business solutions.
8. awareness of trends in cloud platform technologies.
9. understanding of industries and verticals relevant to sap btp solutions.
