miraclon is looking for a regional finance manager - individual contributor to join our office in guadalajara (mexico).
the regional finance manager will be responsible for the financial activity in our latin america operations reporting to the group commercial controller in our head quarters located in brussels, belgium.
you are the financial right hand of the region director and will have fiduciary responsibility of your region (owner of the numbers).
you will be a member (together with other regional finance managers) of the commercial controlling team.
you will act as coordinator/support for treasury, accounting, it, procurement,
*general responsibilities include*:
- act as the onsite finance ambassador for the latin america region.
- support regional sales by reviewing business case analysis for new deals or contract renewals.
- review and validate customer performance against contract commitments
- ensure regional growth and margin expansion, cost control,co-drive results
- participate in budget and forecasting process of the region
- validate and approve credit/debit notes for customers.
- prepare rebate reconciliation and analysis of actuals
- liaise with accounting for the closing process such as sales returns, warranty reserves, inventory reserve, etc.
- prepare and analyze financial data for month end reporting.
- support annual external audit activities and financial statement preparation
- coordinate with other members of the finance team when required to review financial information and forecasts.
- assist corporate treasurer with cash management activities for the region.
- assist ww credit with accounts receivable activities & collection for the region.
- coordinate ww accounts payable team and indirect procurement on ad-hoc basis to resolve supplier invoice issues, reconciliation activities and validate indirect purchase order creation
- support ww legal on ad-hoc basis when coordination with local 3rd party legal consultants is required in relation to annual filing activities and other reporting compliances + ensure local compliance
- represent the region towards local authorities
- responsible for finance process improvements
*education & experience requirements*:
- bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics or related field; ideally 10 or more years as a financial analyst with proven financial acumen
- ability to work in fast paced environment; needs to be able to multi-task with proven follow-through and adherence to changing priorities and deadlines.
- action oriented; needs to be able to follow up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes.
- take ownership of numbers and compliance for region
- excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
english is a must.
- proficient in word, excel, outlook, and powerpoint.
- occasional travel within latin america and 1 to 2 trips to headquarters a year
