*the role*:
*required knowledge and experience*
- authoring and managing execution of test cases using tools such as zephyr scale/test rails
- testing apis using tools such as jmeter and postman
- scrum
*desirable knowledge and experience*
- mysql (sql language used for data validation)
- experience using browser console to view javascript errors, warnings, etc.
*duties and responsibilities*
create and maintain test cases
- collaborate with developers and program managers during story grooming, etc. to
- understand desired software functionality
- document desired functionality in the form of test cases
- create automated test suites for uis and apis, including working with development and devops to stage data, files, mock external apis, etc.
conduct testing activities
- schedule and execute tests (manual and automated) in coordination with software development
- document testing results
- analyze errors and work with developers to determine root cause
monitor and support deployed software
- coordinate with product manager and developers in reviewing reported bugs, usability issues, etc.
- create repeatable steps to reproduce reported bugs
- participate in backlog grooming to help prioritize development work
*professional experience*
- 3 years or more of employment in the workplace as a qa engineer
