medical certification required.what you'll do:interact with administrative and clinical staff including front desk, medical records, nursing, and ancillary services (when applicable) to ensure maximum utilization of resources and efficient delivery of services.oversee day-to-day clinic activities and schedule to reduce patient wait times.assist physician to ensure clinic runs smoothly and on time.schedule patients for surgery and advise them of pre-surgical requirements, including laboratory orders and/or x-rays.advise patients of co-payment, co-insurance, or other out-of-pocket expenses prior to surgery and refer patients to a financial counselor when necessary.maintain surgical schedule and serve as liaison between staff and authorization department.enter surgical/clinical charges into athena.coordinate scheduling of patient testing, ensuring follow-up appointments with physician are scheduled.document patient phone calls, prescription refill messages, and obtain physician signature.manage clinical risk issues for patients/physician.ensure patient phone calls are retrieved and returned in a timely manner.work with medical administrative assist on phone and athena documentation tasks (buckets).monitor and work hold buckets on athena dashboard, assisting professional reimbursement department in resolving open claims.address concerns and/or complaints from patients, vendors, and staff members; escalate to clinic manager as needed.analyze average patient wait times and make recommendations for improvement as needed.coordinate physician meeting schedules, including finding solutions where scheduling conflicts may exist.coordinate on-call rounding lists of patients
