Demonstrate an understanding of the interplay between human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis and production coordination. Lead the facility upgrade planning process and overall strategy for ensuring continuous improvement.key job accountabilities:- new product introduction: lead standardization of methods for manufacturing process solutions and optimization of parameters for streamlining of sequences, layouts, and routes to reduce wastes.- manufacturing process capacity: lead creation and enhancement of capacity modeling, production planning tools and time standards.- manufacturing process performance: lead work in progress (wip) monitoring, and adoption of process performance monitors to achieve take time. Manage process and system performance and ensure development of standard work for productivity gains- team development: drive training, development and performance management for immediate team through regular performance-related interactions that lead to effective resource plans supporting business growth and technology trends. Manage the development of smes and process owners in order to support the creation of effective technical training and meet customer requirements- accountable to execute on plexus' best people strategy, leaders will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.additional accountabilities:- process standardization: lead value stream mapping, design and implementation of effective work stations and creation of standard work including 5s expectations- manufacturing process program and equipment acceptance: support global evaluation of equipment and materials. Lead creation and enhancements of work cell time standard models for capacity and production planning.- supplier management: lead contractor performance for services and qualification of external service suppliers.- minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 10%).- additional duties as assigned.education/experience qualifications:- a minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; a bachelor's degree in business or engineering is preferred.- seven (7) years of related experience is required; five (5) or more years of equivalent industry experience is preferred.an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.other qualifications:- demonstrated effective supervisory skills with a focus on employee development and engagement.- advanced decision making and problem solving.- advanced operational knowledge.- strong verbal and written communication
