our purchasing department provides centralized resources and support to their global business units worldwide, assisting them to meet clients' needs and deliver operational efficiencies across the group.
the position we want to offer you provides various supply chain analysis, internal and external market research to identify strategic procurement adoptions, as well as data and process analysis minimizing the overall operational and investment costs, and communicating the findings to the procurement management teams.
your missions, if you accept this challenge:
* as a latam procurement senior manager (permanent contract), you will be responsible for performing various tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously in the following areas:
* it and telecom
* car fleet
* business travel
* services & facilities
* marketing studies & tools
missions and tasks are determined by the needs of the organisation and the company. Day-to-day tasks could include one or more projects within the following areas:
* develop and manage relationships with high-level internal clients and project managers to ensure timely involvement with projects and identify opportunities to drive more efficiencies.
* negotiate major purchases, develop blanket or master agreements with suppliers, and engage in all aspects of contract management.
* develop and measure key performance indicators to determine and improve the effectiveness of the purchasing function.
* plan, organize, direct, manage, and evaluate the purchasing activities.
* ensure all purchasing activities support and strengthen the strategic objectives of the overall organization.
* identify, qualify, and select vendors of materials, equipment, products, or services, and conduct overall supplier management.
* manage and develop key suppliers through strategic relationship management.
* review supplier financial statements/reports and evaluate overall supplier health (supplier risk assessment).
* controls on payment terms and prices.
* implementation of global agreements locally and ensure compliance with global group policy.
* communication on processes, methodology and results through reporting and presentations.
* provide procurement support in a multi-layered and complex organisation with different company culture and stakeholders.
* consolidate spend and develop group synergies between the entities of the group.
and now, who are we looking for?
* 5 years (or more) experienced negotiator in international markets with a proven track record of achieving targets & several years of experience in procurement.
* can operate with autonomy.
* strong experience in indirect procurement and open to learn and explore a variety of new procurement business areas.
* able to manage a varied, and busy workload effectively, and prioritize accordingly.
* excellent communication and stakeholder management skills: ability to liaise with stakeholders of all levels confidently and autonomously, building strong and effective relationships.
* a business partner able to balance cost savings delivery with service, quality & risk to represent the needs of the business and stakeholders.
* a forward-thinking and constructive mindset able to manage complaints by discussing the details with staff and recommending solutions.
* engage in all aspects of contract management.
* organized and able to prepare reports and statistics related to the purchasing function for upper management and stakeholders.
