you can be a key part of the team that is driving and implementing digital strategy for the qc area, impacting a large user population to enable them to perform their work in laboratories more efficiently and with improved user experience! The senior specialist – global qc it will be joining the quality it global team and will be responsible for supporting delivery and operations of it applications which enable the quality control laboratories across all novartis operations sites. In this role, you will work to enable delivery, implementation, and operational support of it applications within the qc and as&t area for novartis operations & quality.

your key responsibilities:
* as part of the global it team supporting delivery and operations of laboratory instrument control applications (e.g., labx, endoscan, spectrum, empower, etc.), drive solution delivery and implementation of it applications as standards for novartis operations laboratories.
* partner with novartis quality control personnel to understand the needs and priorities of the business, and to deliver the best solutions possible to meet the needs of the end user.
* coordinate, prioritize, and create deliverables as part of the project implementation team, in alignment with goals and objectives set by management.
* provide day-to-day support and engage with external teams supporting the delivery and operations of the laboratory applications.
* support the design and implementation of processes and supporting system solutions within a highly complex qc area.
* proactively seek to identify and communicate risks, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
* share learnings and experiences across teams, with a view to implementing best practices for novartis operations.
* identify, shape, and prioritize technology enhancements for qc-it systems in collaboration with business stakeholders.
* work to support, maintain, and enhance qc-it applications such as empower, labware, binocs, tetrascience, labx, moda, and others.
* support future digital strategy and long-term roadmap in qc and as&t area for nto & quality.
education & experience
* at least 5 years of experience in the quality control area.
* qc it application and instrumentation experience with regards to troubleshooting and validation.
* a good grasp of it fundamentals would be advantageous.
