.job summarythe director, operations position is responsible for the overall leadership of electrical manufacturing and supply chain functions, with multi-site plant cost out facilities geographically dispersed across the region.
this position will lead across functional areas (e.g.
manufacturing, quality, operational excellence, supply chain, logistics, production, inventory and materials management, purchasing, ehs), working closely with other electrical business and functional leaders to ensure standardization and establishment of performance metrics.
this role is also responsible to develop and implement electrical' s manufacturing strategy to support achievement of the organization's financial metrics/goals as defined by the profit and strategic plans.job responsibilitiesdevelop and deploy manufacturing work model focusing on global lean initiatives, standardized process control, strategy and support for manufacturing excellenceensure the effective implementation and build-out of ebs to achieve eaton directives, operational performance objectives and customer expectations.
support the eaton business excellence certification efforts for pace and maintenance of those certifications in all operations per the schedule required in the certification process.oversee governance and improvement actions related to key high 5 metrics including otd, doh, eehs, productivity, and concprovide expert knowledge in lean concepts and quality systems to the operations.
continuously improve knowledge through benchmarking and active participation in industry groupsprovide global oversight for total quality systems through the deployment and sustainment of the eaton quality system.
drive continuous improvement in the quality systems across the latam electrical sector.develop and execute global strategic sourcing model and materials organization that enhance total customer satisfaction through commodity expertise in technology, quality, responsiveness and supplier relationship building.
