te connectivity's strategic sourcing teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across business units and cross-regions for optimal te leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with te policies and procedures.
key responsibilities:
• research and identify prospective suppliers and manufacturers
• negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers
• analyze and compare supplier pricing to determine the best deals
• develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies
• monitor and assess supplier performance
• manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
• coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to forecast the future supply needs
• prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment
• resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers
• implement and drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices
what your background should look like:
* minimum of 8 years of experience in the following areas:
* procurement and/or strategic sourcing
* supplier management
* supplier performance monitoring (strongly preferred)
* manufacturing industry exposure
* proficiency in microsoft office, with advanced skills in excel and familiarity with other relevant tools
* experience with sap pr2 or s/4 hana (preferred)
* solid knowledge of data analysis tools
* strong english communication skills, both written and verbal
* project management experience (preferred)
* proven ability to design and implement globally impactful sourcing strategies
* strong understanding of contract manufacturing models (highly desirable)
* contract evaluation and negotiation with suppliers
* supplier development and performance evaluation
* cost analysis of manufacturing with suppliers or contractors
