the lcl advanced manufacturing leader is responsible for leading and supporting the execution of alle lcl manufacturing strategy for all americas locks manufacturing locations. The position will be part of a network of engineers that collectively will drive process standardization and best-in-class performance through the implementation of standard work and best practice leverage in different areas such as manufacturing, maintenance, and new product development/introduction while ensuring the core manufacturing processes and company assets are effectively utilized.
what you will do:
* coach and develop direct reports through operational excellence thinking/approach.
* develop idp/grmps with each direct report and follow up on a development plan.
* implement and follow a talent/development management system for direct reports (pmp).
* create best practice standard work and follow up on the implementation.
* influence peers and indirect reports to accomplish goals with multiple business priorities.
* lead/support initiatives focused on manufacturing footprint optimization resulting from core/non-core evaluations across various business units.
* demonstrate above-average acumen of various operating systems that drive the business including the architecture behind them.
* drive and support tpm implementation plan (scope, training, execution) and work with site tpm coordinator/ops to lead tpm improvements across the site.
* collaborate with ame leaders/ops to innovate in production processes/equipment to drive modernization and efficiency improvement of internal processes.
* lead/support continuous improvement methodology (opex) implementing lean and quality tools to promote an excellence environment.
* demonstrate ability to solve complex problems and lead/coach problem-solving principles across diverse workforces and cultures.
* lead and support business cases (bc) creation along with make vs buy and roi calculations/analysis.
* lead/support new product introductions and/or product/process transitions to ensure products are launched with adequate levels of manufacturability and oee.
* lead/support lcl sites transformation plans working with plant management to define, execute, and follow up yoy.
* support alle bos by defining/supporting a solid structure under each process.
* lead capacity analysis/assessments on each productive area to design/improve each process with the efficiency/safety required based on customer needs.
* support plant management with the site strategy lrp to reflect results from transformation plan projects.
* participate actively with ame aim to support modernization/efficiency increase through mfg4.0 as part of the automation/digitization work plan.
what you need to succeed:
* bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
* 10+ years of combined relevant automation, manufacturing, and integrated supply chain experience such as industrial, mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical engineering, or electronics preferred; 8+ years relevant ame experience preferred.
* travel required: 50%-60% annually (mostly domestic).
* understanding of materials management and supply chain/logistics management.
* experience successfully leading and managing large-scale projects.
* experience and demonstrated results leading or driving improvements of manufacturing footprint utilization/rationalization.
* demonstrated drive for results working in a multi-sector matrix organization.
* demonstrated influencing, relationship building, teamwork, and collaboration skills at all levels of the organization.
