Lead in the design and support the implementation of the long-term incentives and pension plans of cemex according to policies and guidelines, to offer attractive long term compensation packages to retain, motivate and attract talent, based on current market trends.
*main responsibilities*:
- execute the annual extraordinary management long-term incentive plan at a global level.
- execute and monitor any additional one-time benefit at a global level.
- lead the design for specific lti plans for compensation / retention / motivation purposes
- support the analysis / research of market trends in lti plans & pension plans
- respond to internal and external audits and comply with any legal, accounting and tax regulations.
- provide advice and guidance to participants, regions and business units regarding design, policies guidelines and governance, international share transfers, and day-to-day operations of both the lti and pension plans.
- keep up to date compensation and benefits policies regarding lti plans.
*position challenges*:
- organizing multiple grants for different time periods
- support in decision making aligned to market practices regarding lti and pension plans
- creating detailed financial analysis regarding cemex stock plans vs those of our competitors and providing advice based on results.
- ability to prioritize multiple requests from all the long-term benefits participants, bu's, and hr managers.
- define solutions to the execution of participants sale of shares and share transfers at a global level
*qualifications*:
- english and spanish: 100% written, 100% spoken
- academic background: bachelor's and master's degree
- areas of expertise: finance, financial planning, controllership, hr compensations and benefits; at least 5 years of experience in any of the areas mentioned.
- technical skills required by role: financial management, data analysis, ms office, data visualization, power bi (desirable), research ability
- soft skills: ability to manage difficult conversations and negotiations, ability to work under pressure, teamwork, excellent communication skills, adaptability, problem-solving, leadership.
