Job description:
the consultant, policies and procedures will establish a solid framework and comprehensive policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and governance at cimmyt.
scope of work:
1. assessment:
* conduct a thorough review of existing organizational policies and procedures.
* benchmark current policies against industry standards and legal requirements.
* identify gaps, redundancies, and areas for improvement.
1. development:
* draft new policies and procedures to address existing gaps.
* update and refine existing policies to ensure clarity, relevance, and compliance.
* ensure all policies promote cimmyt's values, transparency, accountability, and best practices.
* align with the overarching institutional strategy and risk appetite.
1. consultation:
* engage with key stakeholders, including the leadership team, and process owners.
* facilitate workshops or meetings to discuss draft policies and incorporate feedback.
1. implementation plan:
* develop a detailed implementation plan, including timelines, responsibilities, and resources needed.
* provide training and support staff in the new policies and procedures.
deliverables: a comprehensive report detailing assessment findings, draft and final versions of policies and procedures, an implementation plan, a training plan and materials, and a finalized set of policies and procedures.
requirements:
* proven experience in policy development and organizational management.
* full english proficiency.
* understanding of the ngos/international organizations sector and its regulatory environment.
* excellent communication and facilitation skills.
* ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
