The controller manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, integrating finance operations, forecasting, budgeting, handling tax matters, preparing financial reports, and ensuring organizational financial stability.
general responsibilities
- manages accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts
- maintains the integrity of the general ledger, including the review of accounting records and financial statements
- reviews, analyzes, and interprets financial and budgetary reports
- ensures that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported, and are in compliance with accounting guidelines and internal policies
- leads the developing, modifying and executing of company policies
- responsible for coordinating, administering, and controlling financial operations
- account and research for any budget variances, reporting significant discrepancies to management
- collaborate with auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
- supervises the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements
- manages accounting integration activities for post-acquisition closing, which includes but is not limited to, process mapping, accounting policy harmonization and systems integration
- recruits, trains, develops, coaches, and manages team to ensure priorities and deliverables are met
- develop goals and prepare performance assessments annually, in a timely manner
experience / qualifications
- a university degree required (i.e.
bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- proficient in microsoft office programs (outlook, word, powerpoint, and excel)
- strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
