*mexico packaging manager, is responsible to lead the oc, hc and personal care team and deliver sustainability goals, drive the business growth with innovation and saving projects.
will be the main contact of the dom, responsible for packaging executions x-cat and be able to integrate gd&p strategies with supply chain requirements.
will support oc, hc and pcp gd&p latam strategies.

*roles & responsibilities*
- *
lead the packaging team to deliver gd&p goals and priorities implementation*:
- * lead the conceptualization, initiation, development and implementation of new and improved packages and processes including: design generation, prototype development, engineering specifications, mold and machinery qualification, functionality and quality testing, and technology transfer.
may lead multi-functional teams in some of these projects*:
- * define and implement standardization and simplification programs, and margin improvement projects*:
- * establish global specifications for packages, processes, and/or equipment, which are consistent with kpi goals and support quality and eohs standards.
provide efficient and timely documentation and/or transfer of manufacturing and engineering technologies throughout the colgate world.

- * lead with subsidiary management and packaging partners, product development, and supply chain functions to ensure project meets agreed upon goals.
continuously assess and communicate project results vs. goals and take corrective action when required*:
- * ensure coordination and execute lab evaluations, quality control procedures and test method development.

- * identify and provide rationale for funds needed to successfully deliver project goals*:
- * understand, interpret and refine package testing procedures and standards to support the effective design, validation, and implementation of new packages and packaging technology.
provide meaningful explanations and forward actions to appropriate division/subsidiary personnel*:
- * write and present technical and business summaries for both technical and non-technical personnel*:
- * build competitive advantage by identifying, evaluating, and championing technical advancements, design trends and innovations in packaging.
stay aware of supplier and competitor new developments, and highlight to appropriate management as needed*
*basic qualifications*:

bs or ms degree required, preferred in packaging, engineering, material sciences*:
- * minimum 10 years of experience in packaging, or roles closely related to design and/or packaging*:
- * minimum 5 years of experience managing a team*:
- * minimum 8 years of experience in a consumer products, packaged goods or pharmaceutical industry*:
- * ability to travel 5-25% (domestic and global) based on project need*
*preferred qualifications*:
