the smt specialist engineer (aoi systems) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the electronic control unit (ecu) production process.
this critical role involves leading a team of local technicians and ensuring the efficient implementation of automatic optical inspections systems (optical and x-ray) on new surface-mount technology (smt) processes.
key responsibilities include:
- provide strategic leadership to a team of local technicians, ensuring optimal support for ecu production operations.
- oversee the implementation and integration of new aoi and axi equipment (smd), guaranteeing seamless incorporation into existing production lines.
- develop and refine specialized software and programs essential for the successful launch of new products, with a focus on meeting stringent customer quality requirements, minimizing costs, and maximizing manufacturability.
- establish and maintain rigorous process specifications to ensure consistent product quality and operational efficiency via appropriate inspection accuracy of systems in responsibility.
- implement continuous performance improvement initiatives and cost reduction strategies within the area of responsibility, driving operational excellence and maintaining competitiveness.
- collaborate with cross-functional and cross-sites teams to address complex technical challenges and implement innovative solutions in ecu smt production processes.
- ensure strict adherence to automotive industry standards and quality control measures throughout all stages of production in area of responsibilities.
