position overview:
the quality, food safety & environmental senior manager reports directly to the quality, food safety & environmental lead and provides undisputed technical leadership for water, climate, wastewater treatment & quality & food safety subjects in the region. He/she leads the implementation support for all technical operational quality & environmental governance aspects that protect and enhance our corporate reputation.
for the region qfs & environmental network orchestration, ensure knowledge sharing management routines are in place across the region, drive organizational alignment across franchise bottling partners, other regions, and corporate. Active member and contributor in global workstreams.
the quality & food safety lead will be part of the risk management, problem solving in qfs subjects, which includes active participation in the process, technical expertise recommendations, root causes analysis, and corrective actions, communication, knowledge sharing, and analytics & reporting.
scope impact and focus:
* lead quality, food safety and environmental for the region.
* determine technical recommendations based on regional level of water security risk for the operations, the baseline water stress factor level and evaluate the compliance level of the water management plan and quality programs against applicable technical references.
* implement a lean and data-driven management system based on the end to end (e2e) qfs strategies, focused on region commitments, targets and goals, results achievement, through analysis, information and risk management. Responsible for the compliance of a fit for purpose, risk-focused qfs technical governance implementation and results tracking in the region.

function related activities/key responsibilities:
* ensure qfs governance in accordance with kore requirements, technical specifications, and all relevant regulations: all qfs methodology, standards, and global requirements for products, packaging, processes, distribution, and markets.
* ensure effective communication and training of qfs technical governance to bottling partners and other value chain stakeholders (suppliers, customers).
* identify and communicate qfs trends and challenges that impact our performance and collaborate with corporate to ensure governance models remain relevant.
* develop and implement local/regional governance water requirements and risk management.
* provide qfs technical expertise to all technical and innovation teams, bottling plants, co-packers.
* provide business and action-oriented quality reports with relevant reporting materials and identify issues to allow appropriate decision making.
* lead a team working on qfs & environmental risk identification through data analysis. Lead management review routines with key stakeholders. Build anticipated external partnerships based on risk assessments to effectively support the business.
* close connection with technical operations to capture all food safety concerns identified through gao (global audit organization) audits or during technical visits in local operations (bottling operations and co-packers). Connect and act properly to mitigate impacts. Ensure qfs corrective action plan (cap) resources and track progress for high-risk operations.
* act as technical expert in imcr processes. Ensure lessons learned are captured proactively and shared across operations.
* collaboration with governance team to update qfs technical risk framework and enterprise risk management systems about qfs & environmental subjects and ou level mitigation plans in place.
* internalize and communicate successful practices and lessons learned based on corrective/preventive action plans.
* execute quality and food safety compliance in place (early warnings from consumer contacts, product integrity program, sensory, analytics, microbiology, freshness, external product analysis from independent entities/ngos, food safety warnings, etc).
* develop the ou qfs & environmental governance technical – picture of success ensuring the development of capabilities through processes - people – technology.
* ensure effectiveness, efficiency and continuous improvement of the water, climate, waste, wastewater treatment processes.
* influence and shape investment in high-risk water treatment/processes plans including complex analysis of cost, infrastructure, innovations, process/technology developments, strategic partnerships.
* ensure company natural mineral/spring water specifications, as well as follow the formula management process.
key requirements:
* university/bachelor´s degree: engineering (preferred hydrogeology, food, chemical).
* required experience in water treatment/mineral water / packaged water processes in food/beverages industries.
* +10 years of senior technical experience in water chemistry, microbiology, hydrogeology. Proven successful track record in leading technical teams.
* fluent english and spanish are required.
