The position reports to the sr. Trade compliance manager and will play a key role in ensuring that the company's trade compliance team operates daily operations efficiently to deliver results that supports the needs of the business.support the development and implementation of programs to ensure that import/ export activities comply with mexican customs and other applicable government laws and regulations.

*travel required*: < 20%fluent in english and spanish, strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.strong working knowledge of immex/maquiladora regulationsin-depth understanding of various trade-related topics such as classification, valuation, incoterms, recordkeeping, auditing, country of origin, duty optimization/free trade agreements, etc.proficiency with trade compliance software, i.e., e2open and/or sap gtstrade compliance experience within a manufacturing environment familiarity with oracle and sap erp systemsknowledge and understanding of trade operations practices and procedures (e.g., free trade agreements, free trade zones, incoterms, supply chain trusted trader programs like c-tpat, aeo, other).
*responsibility*:manage a team of trade compliance analysts and together maintain a robust trade compliance program.responsible for compliance with immex program and developing robust controls and procedures to ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded.ensure that all applicable permits and licenses are transacted in a timely and accurate manner.maintain compliance of mexico government requirements.
monitor regulatory changes, analyze impact, and communicate to relevant parties.manage the development and/or maintenance of global trade compliance policies and procedures.support the business to resolve daily export, import and regulatory queries.provide product classification and maintaining record keeping management and maintenance of database for import and export regulatory compliance.ensure that all certificates of origin are completed in a timely and accurate manner.contribute to the development of compliance roadmap and strategic planning.conduct periodic internal compliance training.perform regular audits to ensure accurate declarations and inventory levels.
