we are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of senior infrastructure engineer .
wealth & personal banking is a global function that brings together areas of financial fraud management and is dedicated to implementing the most effective global standards for use across the bank to combat financial crime.
the team supports sas efm, a best-in-class transaction fraud detection/monitoring application for hsbc.
this is a global role working on projects in asia, middle east, europe, and americas, with a current install base for 25+ countries.
role location is in mexico, but the team is geographically dispersed with other team members in india, uk, and us, and regional teams located in hong kong and mexico.
the overall department has moved to an agile/pod organization, and this specific role is part of the global fraud core platform pod.
the global fraud core platform pod supports the distributed sas efm environment on a distributed platform.
main activities:
* collaborative, team-focused (willing to share information) with the ability to work with others (other pod members, other pods, itid teams, project managers, etc).
* ability to lead and coordinate projects, tasks, and issue resolution.
* articulate, with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* relevant fraud and banking systems (cards, core banking, account opening, etc.) experience is a plus.
* experience with agile and devops models/projects.
* ready to support production deployment and post-development implementation activities.
* follow-ups with team members and stakeholders.
* for production, this is a 24x7 requirement when the staff member is scheduled; escalate issues to appropriate smes (us staff, itid, vendor as necessary).
* investigate issues to determine root cause and suggest/implement fixes.
* plan and coordinate any infrastructure or application changes that are needed.
* create/maintain a knowledge “log” of issues and how to resolve them.
* provide support for development and uat environments for ongoing projects during agreed uk/us daytime hours.
* responsible for builds to agreed schedule.
* work with other pods to support application changes.
* install various software packages.
* install/configure/manage splunk.
