Contribute and execute action plans toward the successful implementation of a company-wide energy risk management strategy.
*main responsibilities*:
- standardize reporting and contribute to develop presentations to cemex regions regarding updates on hedging strategy.
- develop and maintain database for relevant energy indicators.
- develop models that evaluate the effectiveness of the hedging strategies.
- monitor industry reports to obtain relevant data for hedging strategies.
- contribute to the development of policies and procedures for the energy risk management function.
*position challenges*:
key challenge is to develop strong financial skill set on the topic, track impact of hedging activities in financial statements and develop a strong collaboration network within the company in order to maintain an updated information system.
*qualifications*:
- advanced english proficiency, verbal and written
- strong analytical and reasoning skills
- strong financial background. Experience with derivatives is a plus
- ability to collaborate and network with other areas/people and influence decisions
- strong presentation skills
- engineering/financial studies.
- mba or master in other technical areas such as engineering, mathematics, etc.
