ensuring the correct execution of new product or program launches and process changes to existing product with responsibilities in driving apqp and delivering ppap phases as required level by customers.
ensure the internal activities of incoming inspection, process and quality assurance for the product shipped to our customers, through the apqp-ppap coordination with design, manufacture and production departments.

job description and responsibilities
* coordinate all activities of planning the advanced product quality planning (apqp) of new products and processes
* develop and maintain the ppap control plans for the production lines under his responsibility according to analysis of variation sources and customer requirements, and ensure documentation, training and monitoring is being carried out by the production staff.
* determine and approve the incoming inspection methods for the components used in the products and areas under his responsibility.
* perform process & product audits to verify compliance with established standards ( as91000, control plans, customer requirements, corrective actions, etc.)
* ensure documentation and approval of process or product deviations, as well as obtaining customer approval when this is required.
* generate and communicate quality alerts for internal and customer complaints.
* lead with manufacturing and engineering departments the identification (record), monitoring and elimination of major quality problems identified in the process using quality tools
* collaborate with the manufacturing department in the coordination of customer problem solving activities, including generate and document of 8d’s, and obtaining the necessary data for root cause analysis and determination of permanent corrective actions
* coordinate and participate in the activities of implementation and maintenance of the quality system of the company.
* generate actions that prevent the occurrence of discrepancies related to the product, process and the quality system, including put on hold the production area when required.
* other activities identified by your supervisor according to the needs of the company.
technical attributes and experience
* demonstrable knowledge / experience on advanced product quality planning (apqp) (full application) on automotive or aerospace industry (proven evidence)
* dfmea and pfmea, statistical process control, data analysis
* experience with variation analysis techniques and process evaluation (pfmea and process control plan)
* knowledge and practice of iso 9001 preferably as9100 (internal audits) or vda 6.3 audits
* 5+ years on manufacture industry as quality engineer
* knowledge and practice of problem-solving methods such 8d, 5 why, case or another quality tools existing method in the manufacturing industry.
* experience on statistical process control application (analysis large volumes of data for capability spc using tools like minitab or similar)
* interpretation of engineering drawings (knowledge of geometric tolerances - gdt)
* coordinate and participate in product and process validation activities and process audits
* willingness to work with, and travel to, domestic and international design and manufacturing locations when necessary

* formally trained as qms internal auditor iso9001, as9100 or iatf16949
* minitab trained and spc applications
minimum requirements (proficiency levels aligned to job level)
* bs engineering (industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering or aerospace engineering)
* 5 or more years of experience in apqp/ppap full application process on aerospace or automotive industry
