the well engineering manager drives close engagement with integrated solutions project management, service delivery, hse, finance, commercial and sales, and other baker hughes product lines.they will be accountable for functional, business, and broad company objectives.
in this role, they will be involved in the planning and execution of is projects.the main responsibilities are:- ensure all engineering activities are in line with hse policies and procedures.- drive hse culture by setting example through safe work practices.- conduct business according to baker hughes values.- lead the development technical standards for well design- lead a team of well engineers- prepare, participate, and lead peer reviews, peer assists, and other quality assurance activities related to global project- lead technical scope of root cause analysis- provide engineering recommendations and advice to regional project teams.- evaluate and implement best practices and technological advancements to is operations.- communicate effectively with project stakeholders as needed and make recommendations to drive flawless well delivery and operational excellence.- comply with data management according to is procedures.- mentor and coach engineering team members.
*fuel your passion*to be successful in this role you will*:- bachelor's degree preferably in petroleum engineering or mechanical engineering- 15+ years of well construction experience (engineering and operations)- 10+ years of relevant work experience in hpht / mpd well construction projects.- 7+ years of work experience in mexico- competences must include well design, completions, drill bits/mills, bha/drillstring design, engineering simulations, field operations, preparation of programs, casing and/or tubing design, fluids and cementing programs, well control equipment specification, operations optimization or similar.- previous relevant experience working in integrated projects or for an operator.- geomechanics knowledge.- proven record of accomplishment of continuous improvement and optimization of designs and operations.- exceptional interpersonal skills to work well with colleagues across all businesses/cultures, achieve objectives through effective influencing, and establish credibility with senior leaders.- excellent analytics and problem-solving, including ability to form hypotheses and move forward in the absence of complete information
