*job description*:
*what you will do*
- oversee and control product cost.
engage with cost analysis, engineering, category sourcing, quality, and other related stake holders to design cost savings at an early stage.
- monitor material readiness and manage the shortage with tier 2 suppliers for each trial run builds.
- closely work with factory on ctb report, drive for on-time trial run and mp.
- hold regular meetings in procurement and operation, and drive for result.
create and distribute reports on npi programs, and present to high level management.
- provide thoughts and innovative strategies for optimizing sourcing effectiveness.
- problem solver and solution explorer.
*what you need*
- bachelor's degree.
- be sensitive to product cost.
- working experiences with oem, in-house on complex product or subassembly from project kick-off to mass production.
- mechanical/electrical background is preferred.
- procurement experience is preferred.
- be proactive, assertive, and able to lead and drive discussions to achieve deliverables.
- fluent english (conversational and writing)
*what is nice to have*
- prior experience in sourcing and negotiating finished goods and services in a consumer electronics or professional environment using strategic category management techniques to achieve results.
- thorough program/project management skills.
- strong skills with: supplier management, negotiation, contract development/analysis, supplier evaluation, price/cost analysis.
- solid understanding of risk management techniques.
- good financial analysis skills.
- 3rd language will be added advantage.
