job description:
this position will accelerate the growth of the pet category mainly through our brands in customers within the traditional and convenience channel.
to drive the long-term vision of our customers inside mars and of mars inside our customer.
to define the optimal shopper experience (portfolio, layout, siting, space shares) and supporting consistent execution with diverse customers.
to develop a category strategy that meets customer needs with a main focus on developing and growing the category, designing strategy by channel, and defining trends and innovation pipeline.
what are we looking for?
* graduation degree
* 3-4 years of category management experience is preferred
* proven team working experience in business development, sales, or account management
* bilingual in spanish and english to work with local and overseas teams
* strong analytical skills and the ability to generate and evaluate analysis
* category management strategic knowledge for grocery and traditional channel
* shopper understanding (advanced) preferred
* selling skills (basic) preferred
* leveraging insights (advanced) preferred
* 2-3 years' experience in category management/customer marketing/trade marketing/sales
* marketing, business admin or economics degree
* native strategist
* outgoing person
* managerial skills
what will be your key responsibilities?
* lead the development of the pet category in national accounts (sss & traditional channel)
* ensure correct implementation of the perfect store in national accounts (sss & traditional channel)
* implement and help develop the category strategy for national accounts (sss & traditional channel) ensuring it reflects the global mars petcare category vision.
* maintain national accounts (sss & traditional channel) category captaincies
* ensure to be a top 3rd supplier in all retailers for category management, as measured by nielsen+iscam data.
* provide shopper insights, ongoing reporting & score carding, portfolio management, planogramming to national accounts (sss & traditional channel)
* ensure compliance with all mars inc legal guidelines on category management and objectivity
