Purpose statement: monitor the correct register of costs and expenses, while respecting budgetary controls to ensure the company's profitability
key job accountabilities:
- analyze business profitability (income vs costs and expenses), prepare budget and show consolidation of accounts in an income statement.
- develop detailed analysis of expenses per account and per client to determine variations, deviations and trends to define resource administration and to meet indicators (npi, scrap, roa, roi, etc).
- perform budget analysis of: product sales, profit margins on parts, waste, selling price, cost and material consumption.
- analyze distribution of fixed costs of the projects in site to ensure they are absorbing the site's spending.
- profit reconciliation: compare customer quotation (quoted volume and % of mfg costs) versus current and expected manufacturing cost to determine opportunity areas in projects and to increas profitability
additional accountabilities:
- perform forecast asset investment (capex), monitor flow and depreciation according to indicators
- aprove expenses under budget per client and functional area
- review analysis of financial impact of costs (ecos), purchase prices (ppv), fifo, among others; to ensure compliance with budget
- analyze cost of wages and benefits to adjust the budget each quarter
- analyze reports such as: ffm, bft, gpc, executive review, muv, mcv, etc to ensure that profit margin and predefined costs are respected
- analyze nre accounts to make sure they do not exceed the aging established by the company
- submit financial statements to sr local staff and corporate noting the opportunities available site and client level to increase profitability in future years
- ensure the standardization of presenting financial information throughout the different business units
- secure intercompany transactions that result from administration of different corporate cost centers residing in guadalajara's site
education/experience qualifications:
- a minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
- master's degree is preferred
- 6 years of related experience is required; 3 years of related experience is preferred.
an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

- excellent computer skills, including cognos, excel, and powerpoint.
- strong financial analysis and problem solving skills
- the ability to develop complex models to meet business requirements
- ability to work with people at all levels, including senior management
- strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
