hampton inn & suites is seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented pm front desk agent to join our front office team. As a key member of our hospitality staff, you will be the first point of contact for evening guests, handling check-ins, check-outs, guest inquiries, and providing exceptional service throughout their stay. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves helping people, and takes pride in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
responsibilities
* greet guests upon arrival with a warm and professional demeanor
* handle the check-in and check-out process efficiently and accurately
* manage reservations and room assignments in the property management system
* respond promptly to guest requests, questions, and concerns
* communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
* handle guest payments and process transactions, including cash, credit card, and direct billing
* balance the cash drawer and complete end-of-shift reports
* maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby areas
* assist in resolving guest issues or complaints with patience and professionalism
* follow all hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards
* delegate housekeeping, security, and service requests, respond to guest inquiries and resolve guest complaints, process reservations and check-ins, and other front desk agent duties as required
* make sure every hotel guest has a pleasant stay
qualifications
* front desk clerk duties, guest services, night auditor or previous hospitality experience is preferred but not required
* must be computer proficient; experience with accounting or reservation software is a bonus
* high school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
* great communication and excellent customer service skills are required
