a visual merchandiser at dior is responsible for bringing the brand's vision to life in retail spaces, ensuring an engaging and luxurious customer experience.
responsibilities:
* supporting visual identity: assisting the visual merchandiser or senior vm in implementing dior's visual merchandising strategy across assigned stores in mexico. This includes ensuring adherence to global brand guidelines while adapting them to the local mexican market and customer preferences.
* implementing visual directives: executing visual displays, including window displays, in-store merchandising, and product presentations, following the guidelines provided by the vm team. This also involves maintaining visual displays and ensuring they are up to dior's standards.
* coordination and communication: liaising with store teams, external vendors (e.g., prop suppliers, installers), and potentially regional or global vm teams to ensure smooth implementation of visual projects. This includes coordinating deliveries, installations, and troubleshooting any issues.
* in-store training and support: providing training and guidance to in-store staff on visual merchandising standards, maintenance, and best practices to uphold brand consistency.
* administrative tasks: managing visual merchandising inventory, tracking budgets related to specific projects, coordinating with vendors on payments, and reporting project progress to senior management.
* market research and analysis: conducting local market research to understand customer preferences, competitor activities, and emerging trends to inform visual merchandising strategies and make recommendations to the vm team.
* visual documentation: photographing completed visual displays and preparing reports to document project execution and share best practices with other teams.
how you will contribute:
* maintain visual and video standards within all retail doors to ensure consistency.
* interpret and implement visual guidelines from our central and regional team (vm & marketing) in each store location.
* planograms, in-store visuals, and product zoning.
* seasonal in-store launches.
* workflow of new store openings, collaboration with regional and local merchandising and store design teams.
* vm tool ordering, installation, and approvals with our regional and local teams.
* visual merchandising trainings on current guidelines for the retail manager teams.
* cross department collaboration with education, marketing, store design, and hard merchandising teams. Regional and local.
* traveling around mexico to contribute to the brand image elevation in stores.
* support on executing guidelines, reporting, and follow-up.
key skills and requirements:
* experience: 3 or more years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably within the luxury retail sector. Experience working with international brands is a plus.
* language skills: fluency in spanish and english is likely essential.
* software proficiency: brightsign software (it’s a plus), adobe suite, photoshop, sketchup, autocad.
* other skills: knowledge in production of vm materials, pet, acrylic, fabric, etc. Also knowledge in production of store design materials, mdf, laminates, metal, solid surface, etc., and logistics and distribution (vm material).
