*master planner*job summary*works under little supervision, plans and prepares the production master program to supply the sales demand plan, as well as to comply with inventory plans.
plans, programs and monitors the progress of current product supply according to the program.
supervises the execution of the production program and interplant requirement plant and takes actions when necessary to ensure compliance.responsible for production planning schedulers (pps), supervising their activities execution in timely manner.
*duties & responsibilities*under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and corporate johnson & johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:- revises the worldwide demand of product codes assigned and the production master program in such way that the finished product inventory is maintained within the goal and plans to provide support to a level of service according to the objectives of the organization.- serves as first contact with manufacturing for matters of planning.- alerts the worldwide planner about potential mistakes of demand established in the system.- guides efforts to avoid delayed orders, communicating to demand planning, manufacturing, quality, customer service andpurchasing to increase the material supply when customer service is at risk.- when the supply is less than the demand, he/she recommends inventory assignment plans so that the customer service is taken to the maximum levels.- monitors the load capacity in the assigned production lines and forecasts future loads.- determines the programming of new products and continuously updates the team about new products and plans of the demand when the production plan decreases.- determines the initial inventory requirements jointly with demand planning in terms of sales weeks for the launching of a new product.- manages phases of the products in way that obsolete material inventory is minimum.- identifies the products of little use or obsolete when necessary.- continuously modifies the safety inventory.monitors all the standard operation procedures.
recommends changes and improvements to the procedures.elaborates and analyzes the report of obsolete and surplus material
