misión
amphenol mexicali is seeking a quality manager to implement systems for continuous improvement, facilitate quality principles and techniques, provide training, and maintain contact with customers and suppliers. If you have extensive experience in quality engineering and a commitment to excellence, this is your opportunity!
you will develop, implement, and verify quality systems, conduct internal audits, and use statistics to demonstrate, evaluate, or confirm results of variables under study, adhering to iso 9000 standards.
responsibilities
* verify adherence to the quality policies governing the company.
* manage the iso 9001 quality management system.
* monitor raw materials that fall out of specification detected on the production floor and evaluate production rejects related to raw materials.
* prepare deviations for raw materials.
* conduct internal audits of the quality system.
* periodically monitor and analyze results of ooba (out of box audit) through graphs in areas such as cosmetic and dimensional aspects, taking action on identified opportunities.
* define and establish quality criteria.
* utilize probability and statistics to inform decision-making.
* initiate internal/external corrective actions, assign responsibilities, review effectiveness of actions, and close corrective action.
* lead communication and coordination of meetings, as well as follow up on customer complaints and issues with suppliers, including 8ds and cpars.
* responsible for evaluating and disposing of customer returns, following up on internal corrective actions generated from return analysis.
* participate in information meetings with supervisors and line leaders regarding quality progress, levels, and results both internally and externally.
* plan, schedule, and manage assigned projects requested by your immediate supervisor.
* prioritize work activities in coordination with production area needs.
* apply, promote, and monitor compliance with the quality system.
* interact professionally with internal and external customers and suppliers.
* maintain discipline, cleanliness, and order in your work area.
* participate as part of the company's internal quality auditor group.
* support other activities related to your position and special projects.
* responsible for compliance with all policies, regulations, and provisions established by the company.
* verify adherence to safety and hygiene policies governing the company.
what you need to join our team
* proficient in spoken and written english.
* more than three years of experience as a quality engineer.
* knowledge of quality engineering methodologies.
* degree in industrial, mechanical, electronic engineering, or a related field.
* passport/visa for travel to the united states.
* self-directed with a positive attitude.
* strong analytical and synthesis skills for problem-solving.
* customer service orientation.
* ability to manage suppliers.
* follow-up on corrective actions.
