this includes budgeting, cash flow management, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and support for operational decision-making.
the role closely partners with hotel general managers and corporate leadership to ensure financial objectives are met and best practices are implemented.financial oversightsupervise and support hotel-level financial heads or accounting teams within la paz and cd del carmen.ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for each property.analyze financial statements and key performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.consolidate financial reports for a regional overview.budgeting and forecastinglead the budgeting and forecasting process for all hotels in the region.provide variance analysis and strategic recommendations based on performance.monitor expenses and implement cost control measures as necessary.compliance and controlsensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.coordinate internal and external audits across all properties.enforce local, state, and federal financial regulations.act as a financial advisor to hotel general managers and regional leadership.participate in capital planning, feasibility studies, and financial modeling for new developments or renovations.support merger and acquisition activities and the onboarding of new properties within the region.train and develop financial staff at the property level.foster collaboration between financial teams and hotel operations.drive a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.qualifications:education and experiencebachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (mba preferred).a minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, including 3 to 5 years in a regional or multi-property hotel position.skills and competenciesdeep knowledge of hotel financial operations (rooms, f&b, revpar, gop, etc.
