in this role you will be a member of the workday services team supporting our workday integrations, your role will grow as we further deploy and expand our workday coverage both geographically and capability.
reporting to the workday services data & integrations lead this role is accountable for ensuring that wpp's workday integrations are stable, supported and enhanced as required by our business partners, plus as required develop new integrations.
this is an exciting and varied role working with the wider workday services team and our ams partner to provide a world class level of workday support and development on a day-to-day basis and in support of workday project deployments.
the new workday services team provides the post go-live support and enhancement of the workday solution that replaces some of our core technology and influences our ways of working for many of our colleagues at wpp.
this flagship programme will see workday deployed across our global landscape to address the technology needs of finance, projects, and our people function - so essentially it touches all of our employees to some degree.
the key to this programme is that technology is an enabler for change, it's at the heart of what we do, but it's not all of what we do.
the people aspects of this programme are vital to its success.
this role will help deliver that success on an ongoing basis for many years to come.
*key responsibilities*
- responsible for the support and development of integrations post go-live and beyond
- monitoring workday integrations with our ams partner
- working with business partners to gather requirements for enhancements to existing integrations and delivery of new integrations as requested
- maintain expertise on new integrations functionality/features/capabilities in workday, wider industry, and technology trends
- continually review integrations to make sure that they meet the highest security standards possible
- accountable for maintaining up to date integrations documentation and diagrams
- engage positively with other it teams and lead resolving issues across interconnected platforms
- safeguard global standards and principles against competing requests and priorities
- champion recommendations for continuous improvement in integrations including self-healing and automated logging of tickets for alerts
*skill requirements*
- exceptional workday integrations development and support experience
- experience of creating/supporting workday integrations of multiple types: core connectors, raas, eibs, studio
- good working knowledge of web service technologies (rest, soap, json, http, ssl, pgp, saml, etc)
- proficiency with xml, xpath and xslt
- understanding of hcm/financials functionality and workday integration best practices
- any knowledge of informatica would be an advantage
- ability to understand business requirements and turn into clear deliverables
- excellent technical understanding of saas platforms including integrations, security standards and data
- working alongside outsourced resources
- strong ability to work with other platform/product teams to achieve your goals
- delivery focused, with high energy and drive
- strong risk awareness skills and management of risk
- understanding or experience of informatica advantageous
- creative solutioning and strong problem-solving skills with agility for fast and simple solutions
