about you:
we are looking for a person to provide support and leadership to the governance team to lead the key suppliers and tpls (third party logistics) sites to compliant diageo guidelines.
lead with suppliers&tpls to improve the opportunities areas from lto (license to operate) audits.
support quality, food safety, o&h, environment management systems at suppliers&tpls to identify the main risks involved, participate in supporting the improvement of these risks through a structured program of root cause analysis, standardization, coaching and effective communication.
monitoring and support of governance performance address monthly to achieve results.
leadership and influence skills: ability to get to the root cause, articulate when presenting an idea or defining a problem, participate in debates based on facts.
participate in the definition of objectives and communicate unusual situations to the management team involved to guide on opportunities for cost reduction and/or process improvements.
function:
- business development: diageo supplier risk audits.
- as lead auditor to give support to handle the tequila &mezcal audit agenda, such as: row material &packaging suppliers and third party logistics.
- suppliers&tpls development: as lto governance leader, work with the suppliers &tpls to improve their own process to compliance diageo guidelines and bring them to an acceptable level to operate, the main controls are compliance and risk management, occupational health and safety, environment, assurance incoming goods, quality process control, finished goods handling, haccp, iso 9001, security; in order to compliance diageo guidelines to operate.
- spirits of progress 2030: manage of first level diageo important metrics.
- driving improvements: to improve the important metrics and quality&safety topics in order to avoid incidents.
- improvement: follow up of non-conformities from audits, rejects and quality alerts reported on diageo sites
- quality documents: validate quality agreements, specifications and samples approved by diageo sites
- performance: supervising and review performance about quality kpi´s to define actions plant needed identifying trends and behaviours that avoid future troubles or deviation from the materials vs specifications using scp (statistical control process)
- management: take a lead role in driving the required culture and behaviours including employee education and engagement, lead the quality&safety assurance, and risk management plan for the suppliers & tpls ensuring it is maintained and adhered to.
- support: work as a team with the packaging areas to know the performance and problems of the materials
about the role:
- travel to suppliers &tpls to support and audit process.
- follow through governance meetings to review action plans implementations.
- supervise the important metrics of quality, food, safety, environment to define action plans to improve them.
- lead for tackle problem with suppliers & tpl´s and enough knowledge about safety noms.
- monthly review with to lead quality and productivity issues in bottling lines.
- develop safety risk assessments to main operations to avoid severe incidents.
- work together with the plant quality/pil's staff in order to identify the main issues affecting production lines and validation of new materials
required experience/skills/languages:
- knowledge to lead global risk management standards and strong quality, food safety, h&s, environment management in consumer products is required; storage liquids & warehouse operations experience strongly preferred.
- bachelor degree in any of the areas related to industrial engineering, chemical engineering, or any related career.
- knowledge of packaging materials and row materials process for spirits products or similar.
