program controls specialist ii
as a bilingual senior program controls specialist at honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution and financial control of projects within honeywell building automation (ba). This involves overseeing various aspects of program management, with a focus on planning & scheduling, cost control, and budgeting. You will report directly to our planning & scheduling supervisor and work out of our montreal or quebec city location on a hybrid schedule.
this position is responsible for maintaining schedule tools used by project managers to measure, forecast, and track project-related work; providing cost analysis; and supporting process improvements. You will partner with the integrated program team to develop program plans, create schedule & cost baselines, and monitor/tracking systems for large, complex programs across multiple sites.

key responsibilities
1. develop and implement project planning and scheduling strategies.
2. collaborate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to define performance measurement and scheduling criteria by project phase.
3. develop, analyze, and maintain resource- and cost-loaded project schedules using tools like ms office and primavera.
4. lead schedule and resource status update meetings with project teams.
5. ensure project schedules meet contract requirements and industry standards, and support project success.
6. maintain consistency of work breakdown structures and activity sets across projects and regions, aligning with financial systems.
7. monitor and control project costs and budgets.
8. identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
9. analyze performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations.
10. coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
11. ensure compliance with project management standards and safety policies.
12. ensure timely and accurate project reports and forecasts on costs, revenue, and billing.
13. support cost forecast analysis and manage schedule/cost baseline changes.
14. coordinate invoicing milestones with relevant groups.
15. implement cost monitoring and control systems and reports.
16. travel up to 25% may be required.
minimum requirements
* 3+ years of experience in program controls, project planning & scheduling in relevant environments.
* 3+ years with ms project and/or primavera.
* college or bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field.
* english proficiency required.
* willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
