our client is a fast-growing financial and strategic advisory firm that partners with high-growth, venture-backed startups. Acting as an outsourced finance department, they provide comprehensive financial operations, including fp&a, full-service accounting, business intelligence, business model development, fundraising strategy, and investor relations.
they are looking for a senior accountant to manage financial operations across multiple startups, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes.
responsibilities
* oversee and perform all aspects of accounts payable (a/p) and accounts receivable (a/r) for clients.
* manage the month-end close process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement accuracy.
* identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and automation.
* ensure compliance with us gaap and other regulatory requirements.
* oversee payroll processing or act as a reviewer to ensure accuracy.
* prepare and deliver various financial reports to clients.
* support tax, audit, and compliance-related requests.
* collaborate with controllers and venture cfos to address client needs effectively.
qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
* strong knowledge of us gaap and financial reporting principles.
* proficiency in ms office, google workspace, and accounting software such as quickbooks, netsuite, bill.com/airbase, divvy, expensify, and brex.
* excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
* ability to build relationships and work collaboratively within a team.
* cpa and/or public accounting experience.
