Job description
it is an important position to work in our new greenfield facility in mexico to learn and support the development of our new plant in mexico.
* support the operations leadership team with analysis, reporting, and decision making focusing on improvement areas.
* enable benchmarks to measure improvements in identified areas.
* manage and coordinate all controlling activities of the plant.
* participate in and/or steer global or local controlling-related and cross-functional projects.
* conduct employee dialogues, personnel development, and coaching.
* support plant management in internal and external audits.
* prepare, review, and manage the plant budget and forecast (p&l, balance sheet, cash flow, etc.).
* monitor and analyze planned/expected outcomes versus monthly operating results.
* prepare standard production cost setting and ensure compliance with cag policies and procedures.
* support operations controlling to reach central targets.
* provide relevant data to management for decision-making: cost development, viability analysis, financial effects.
* collaborate with other departments to ensure completion of month-end closing/fc process.
* execute plant-specific month-end closing processes (definition and analysis of cycles, accruals, etc.).
* responsible for fixed asset analysis and fixed asset inventory count.
* analyze financial reporting of manufacturing-related costs (variable and fixed), prepare forecast and budget based on production volumes.
* identify fixed cost drivers and saving potentials, drive implementation and follow-up including proper documentation.
* responsible for physical inventory/cycle count oversight and obsolescence review.
* ensure supervision of plant key performance data and perform regular kpi reviews.
* analyze data quality for continuous development of existing systems and align with operations controlling team on development measures.
* analyze use cases of new systems/technologies/solutions to implement for reporting purposes.
* support implementation of standardized processes, improvement of processes, and creation of process documentation.
* ensure detailed project tracking of spending.
* monitor and review approval/spending reporting on investments.
* prepare evaluation of pca's in the plant.
* monitor controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* support implementation of sector/ba processes and corporate compliance policies within operations controlling in the plant.
* support local audits.
* ensure local implementation of central controlling standards.
* provide feedback and input for further development of standards regarding controlling processes (accounting process, monthly/yearly closing, methods, it tools, etc.) to operations controlling.

qualifications
* diploma, bachelor or master in controlling, finance, economics or accounting and/or business administration preferably with a focus in controlling/accounting.
* minimum of 7 years of controlling working experience.
* cross-functional experience in production, supply chain, quality or cbs preferred.
* strong analytical skills with good communication skills.
* team-oriented, analytical thinking with strong ability to work under pressure in an international environment.
* understanding and applying project management knowledge (experience as project member/leader).
* has successfully managed a project team and/or demonstrated ability to lead.
* 2 or more years in a leadership position, preferably in operational units with functional and disciplinary responsibility for other individuals.
* experience working in international environments.
* advanced english.
