the industrial manager, like the director of the competencies centre and by delegation of the latter, has a dual focus on customer satisfaction and the performance of his or her organization. He or she is responsible for the functional management of the entire ecosystem within his or her area of authority. He or she is responsible for deploying the industrial strategy, including the human, financial and physical resources needed to ensure proper implementation of the policies and plans adopted in the short, medium and long term.
primary purpose of the role:
1. mastery of the industrial activity and cost base (including operational m/t/b), coordinating the different icc/sites in his/her perimeter.
2. assures the capability required to (and responsible for) deliver the effectivity of the industrial solution (“supply”) that meets the needs(“demand”) of the business groupe
3. assures the application of good practices in terms of design for execution, risk mitigation, and process control of manufacturing items since bidding, to project, until production

key responsibilities and tasks:
15. is accountable for the industrial delivery (end to end) for the bls
16. is accountable for the capability to deliver the industrialization/preparation for production, planning, procurement, production and shipping to the agreed customer at each of the industrial sites
17. leads the activities covered by the industrial job family (industrial supply chain, technologies in manufacturing, production planning, integration/test/repair, manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement, i4.0/digital) ensuring the readiness to deliver customer demand at region/country level
18. defines the industrialization strategy for operational make/team/buy decisions
19. is accountable for the overall performance of the industrial capability
20. is accountable for use, selection, maintenance, development and support of industrial tools
21. is a leader in transformation, digital manufacturing, and continuous improvement culture
22. represents industrial operations as point of escalation for any reviews/gates that use multi entity resource or capability
23. is accountable for the design and deployment of the industrial/supply chain strategy to meet the strategic needs of the bls as defined by mtip’s
24. is accountable for the central manufacturing costs and budget and acts as responsible director for the manufacturing and supply chain cost perimeter
25. is responsible for the strict adherence to current certifications/regulations
26. is responsible for the strict adherence to current regulations in terms of health, safety and environment (hse)
27. identify and analyze complex questions, and improve, change or adapt existing methods and techniques within the industrial domain
28. has the capacity to influence and mobilize peer networks in relevant specialists and domains to support and improve the industrial activity

29. min. 10 years’ experience in senior operational or industrial role
30. management of complex, multi discipline teams
31. experience of complex manufacturing environments and supply chains
32. experience/understanding of total supply chain disciplines (manufacturing engineering(ipe), planning, procurement, manufacturing, supplier quality assurance, logistics/delivery)
33. demonstrable success leading and developing diverse teams

35. experience of industry 4.0 implementation or strategic development
