job specifics:
* this role is fully onsite and requires flexibility to work and rotate shifts, including weekends, holidays, and/or overnight shifts.
* able to work overtime both in peak season and as needed.
main responsibilities:
* promote a culture of safety and wellbeing.
* analyze and implement corrective actions to ensure quality and productivity are consistently at high levels, and business objectives are met across all shifts.
* support and lead a team, handle administrative work, and build and support a strong team culture.
* analyze performance and suggest process improvements to optimize work and improve customer service.
* promote best practice and continuous process improvements across your team in areas like health and safety and productivity.
* collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes.
a day in the life:
you will work shifts and be based at one of our operational sites. Your main focus will be to maintain safety standards within your team and across your site. You will also monitor and maintain process efficiency. Your days will include prioritizing routine team management and daily operational tasks, alongside other tasks like individual escalations, process improvement work, and wide-scale operational contingency planning.

amazon logistics, or amzl, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the customers' hands. Our goal is to make the delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, such as amazon fresh, prime now, and amazon restaurants.
the team has two sides: 'under the roof' associates process millions of products for dispatch to our delivery teams, and 'on the road' people work with amazon flex - a network of delivery contractors. Every year, we continually raise the bar for customer experience with new, innovative delivery services.
requirements:
* a completed bachelor's degree or 2+ years of amazon experience.
* 2+ years of experience in a role with similar responsibilities.
* 1+ year of direct management experience for employees and their performance.
* english intermediate-advanced (b2+).
* fluent in spanish, both written and verbal.
* mba or similar.
* experience using lean manufacturing methodologies.
* previous experience as project management.
* experience managing department kpis and driven results.
* bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation, or related.
* logistics background from operations environment, preferably from first-middle mile ops.
* advanced english proficiency (c1+).
