what you will do
you will function as a procurement business partner within jci's indirect procurement organization, interfacing directly with one or more business units to ensure category strategies, programs, and corporate initiatives are effectively and efficiently deployed. Your responsibilities include:
* being a true business partner for the assigned business unit(s) and understanding procurement's role in enabling true business success.
* representing the indirect procurement organization and articulating how it can deliver value to the business.
* enabling and driving change across the enterprise by liaising between the assigned business unit, corporate category management team, and supporting functions.
* executing spend analysis for your assigned business unit and identifying opportunities for cost savings and trade working capital improvement.
* owning the effective and efficient deployment of corporate category strategies for your assigned business units and driving preferred supplier adoption and utilization.
* driving business-facing procurement strategies to standardize, manage demand, and reduce the total cost of ownership for the business.
* supporting daily supplier performance management, ensuring negotiated terms, conditions, and service levels are delivered in accordance with contracts.
* preparing, reviewing, and approving rfx documents for on behalf of assigned business units and leading initiatives and negotiations for business unit-specific categories and projects.
* responsible for timely and accurate reporting of key metrics and identifying, designing, and executing process improvement initiatives to simplify procurement and cross-functional processes.
requirements
* bachelor's degree in a related field.
* minimum six years of experience in planning, project management, purchasing, or procurement; ideally in a manufacturing environment.
* proficient in english and possess a driven, motivated, and growth-oriented professional mindset.
* proficient in strategic sourcing processes for indirect procurement and strong analytical skills and business acumen.
* good pc/software knowledge/skills and proficiency in excel.
* experience in spend and cost analysis and demonstrated ability to work as part of a regionally dispersed and matrix-aligned team.
* demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and negotiate effectively.
