*responsibilities*
- act as the point of contact for external auditors
- reviewing financial statements to ensure accuracy of accounting records
- conducting audits and reconciling accounts to ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately
- preparing reports for management regarding financial status of the company and identifying issues that may require attention
- ensuring that payments are made on time by monitoring cash flow and making advance payments when necessary
- preparing reports and maintaining records on financial transactions in order to track income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and other measures of financial performance
- coordinating with external auditors and accountants to ensure compliance with regulations
- conducting audits to ensure accounting records accurately reflect financial transactions
- calculating interest rates on loans or bonds using complex formulas such as the yield curve method, and ensuring that interest payments are made on time
- managing accounts receivable by following up with delinquent customers for payment on their rent
- supervise and train accounting staff
*qualifications*
- bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field
- 10+ years proven accounting experience
- professional accounting certification, including cma, cga, or ca
- working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (gaap)
- strong understanding of economic and banking processes
- exemplary history of financial project management
- experience with real estate accounting and property management software consider a plus
*salary*: $12.00-15.00 per hour
