*what the job looks like*
each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
manage the compliance program within mexico and central america, foster the compliance culture, provide guidance for ethical conduct & personal integrity and contribute to grünenthal's compliance with laws and regulations as well as internal & external standards for grünenthal's operations in mexico and central america (cam).
- ensure operability, integration and continuous improvement of grünenthal's compliance program, system, processes and tools in méxico in cooperation with the latam chief compliance officer and gm mexico and cam;
- create awareness on compliance and continuously build a strong compliance culture within mexico and cam in close collaboration with the global, latam compliance team members and local management and employees;
- ensure local implementation and updates of global and sbu latam specific policies, sops and standards with respect to grünenthal's code of conduct, laws, regulations as well as international industry codes (ifpma) and local pharmaceutical codes;
- set up and update efficient local training programs on ethical compliance and ensure compliance training in close collaboration with the functional/department heads and regional hr;
- establish adequate monitoring procedures to ensure that processes are in line with internal standards and external regulations;
- set up appropriate processes to detect, escalate as appropriate, respond and follow-up on mexico and cam compliance cases, issues and improvement needs in close cooperation with the chief compliance officer latam;
- participate where possible in external working groups to share best practices and to increase knowledge on ethical compliance;
- receive and lead compliance audits applied by the corporation, business partners and authorities and track capas.

- pharmaceutical industry knowledge and experience, ideally in commercial and/or financial operations, information systems or as an auditor.
