the salesforce physical security operations team works diligently to protect our people, spaces, and brand. We are seeking a high-performing, experienced, passionate, and trustworthy professional who is interested in taking an active role in supporting the onsite activities of salesforce in mexico city as well as the surrounding metro area.
the physical security manager is an office-based role. This position will report to the senior manager, physical security operations, amer west, latam & hq, and be responsible for the continued development and implementation of a comprehensive physical security program.
job description
1. managing and mentoring high-performing security professionals located in latam regions.
2. developing and maintaining effective relationships with key internal partners such as real estate & workplace services, health & safety, resilience, executive leadership, functional business areas, and regional/site leadership.
3. implementing operations consistent with global security standards and direct enforcement of those standards when necessary.
4. effective and consistent coordination of efforts necessary for implementing both long and short-term security operations objectives.
5. planning, directing, and driving event security for small to medium-sized in-region/on-campus events and supporting large public-facing events in-region when necessary.
6. assisting with managing the regional security budget and associated contracts, resources, and vendors, including scheduling quarterly business reviews, capturing metrics, and reporting on key performance indicators.

10. this is an in-person/onsite position, and candidates must be available to work onsite.

key duties
1. serve as the physical security operations sme within the assigned area of responsibility (aor).
2. oversee the maintenance of critical physical security programs including access control provisions, guard force staffing, and enterprise risk management policies.
3. lead security operations emergency response plan execution.
4. plan, schedule, and lead training in the areas of tabletop exercises and live drills.
5. build, update, and refresh security documentation, including site procedures and operations plans.
6. develop and maintain relationships with key internal partners as well as federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
7. mitigate workplace violence through proactive local intelligence collection, development of policy, and coordination with internal business partners.
8. assist with the investigation of incidents within the assigned area of responsibility.
the successful candidate for this role will have the following qualifications:
1. overall experience of 10+ years in security or closely related services in public or private sector.
2. demonstrated experience leading a successful team with an operations, training, and budgeting approach.
3. ability to communicate effectively and provide leadership during high-stress situations.
4. exceptional presentation, writing, research, and analysis skills.
5. familiarity with salesforce and use of our business solutions.
6. spanish and english fluency are required for this position.
7. familiarity or willingness to become familiar with multiple aspects of a corporate security program beyond operations including risk intelligence and threat monitoring, event security, investigations, executive protection, security systems technology, and project management.
8. prior experience in a fast-paced corporate environment.
