basic function
under the coordination of the sr production scheduler and the general supervision of the materials manager, this person is in charge of scheduling production according to marketing needs and plant capacities. Handling production and demand reports to control inventory levels of finished product to assure objectives of the business are met. Prepare activities that help to minimize inventory investment and assure maximum manufacturing efficiencies.
specific responsibilities
1. schedule production in the system (sap) according to supply needs (current demand, sales forecast, safety stocks) at cast and spray levels and update them on a weekly basis.
2. work closely with the sr production scheduler and the manufacturing supervision to establish a follow-up process on production.
3. expedite every supply need and provide manufacturing reports on unfilled orders, units past-due, and urgent units that need to be delivered to the customers.
4. make the annual production schedule of finished goods in weekly and monthly format and also prepare the next year schedule when required.
5. prepare scheduling adjustments to the production schedule when needed and when equipment breaks down, have defective materials or any other issue that prevents meeting the requirements.
6. establish close communications with the purchasing department and production personnel to establish, verify and meet manufacturing and shipment due dates.
7. elaborate weekly, monthly and annual adherence reports to evaluate the accomplishment of the required pieces.
8. provide feedback to customer service department and supply chain team regarding open orders and back orders.
9. follow up on new product developments with the new products team and give feedback on performance if needed.
10. work closely with the supply chain team on any other production necessity and provide recommendations if needed that help to improve our delivery goals.

education and experience requirements
education: preference bachelor’s degree.
experience: preference more than 3 years scheduling/planning, work experience in control of inventories and cycle counts.
formation: preference for computer systems working knowledge (sap, excel, experience). Preference for spoken and written english.
