*general summary*the manager, marketing, mexico and latin america, plays a crucial role in supporting the planning and execution of the preferred hotels & resorts (ph&r) marketing strategy, to drive room nights and revenue into member hotels in mexico and latin america.
the manager will also support global marketing initiatives as needed.
*primary areas of responsibility*:- under the guidance of the global director, marketing, and mexico and latin american regional leadership, the manager will work hand-in-hand with the ph&r regional team and member hotels to plan, organize, develop and implement marketing opportunities specific to the region, with the goal of stimulating hotel stays into and within the region.
the manager will be able to compellingly present opportunities to member hotels and encourage them to provide funding for additional marketing exposure.- the manager will also work closely with global marketing, i prefer hotel rewards loyalty program, and the digital team to ensure the hotels in the region participate and support all global programs and provide local content from the region for those programs.- additionally, the manager will work with the regional team and global partnerships director to identify and pursue local marketing partnerships and barter opportunities.- a core responsibility of this is to be the liaison to member hotels within the region, especially mexico and latin america, understanding their needs and demonstrating the value of their partnership with ph&r.- the manager, marketing will have a deep understanding of the mexico/latin american region, including business culture.- proficiency in both english and spanish (written and verbal) is essential for success in this role, portuguese is a plus.
the role will be based in mexico city.
*organizational relationship*the manager, marketing reports directly to the global director, marketing, and has a dotted-line relationship with the region (where most of the day-to-day interactions will occur.)
the manager works closely with all marketing and communications disciplines (digital, partnerships, loyalty, pr), plus regional executive vice presidents and directors, revenue management, sales, and customer service.
